    Economic Development

Create a community environment conducive to business development. Promote sustainable business ventures that bring economic prosperity, creating jobs and business opportunities for the tribal community and revenue for tribal government programs.

Economic Development Objectives

  • Establish a Department Of Commerce.

  • Establish an Enterprise Corporation(s)

    • Tribally chartered

    • State chartered, and/or

    • Federally chartered via Section 17 of IRA

  • Establish a Community Development Finance Institution.

    • Non-Profit

    • Provide low interest loans for tribal entrepreneurs

  • Assess Business Opportunities:

    • Natural Resource Development (forest products, aggregate, water)
